MacBook Pro Sizzles, Inside and Out
Some of us long-time Mac PowerBook users were more than a little skeptical of Apple's radical speed and compatibility claims for the MacBook Pro. Could it really be four times faster? Would it really run all our old software in emulation mode without a huge speed hit? And would all our many peripherals continue to work? We knew we would have to upgrade eventually, given Apple's across-the-board migration to Intel processors, but the critical question was "how soon?"
Being the intrepid reviewers that we are, we decided to take the plunge immediately, rather than wait till all the kinks are worked out.
